  • Home phone or landline number (for Kid Mode friend calling)

  • App usage patterns and feature interactions
  • Crash reports and performance data

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service, including playdate scheduling and messaging
  • Connect your family with other families in your community
  • Send notifications about playdate invitations, approvals, and messages
  • Enable Kid Mode features, including friend lookup and playdate requests

4. Children's Privacy

Playdate Central takes children's privacy seriously. Our app is designed for use by parents and guardians, with Kid Mode providing a supervised experience for children.

  • Kid Mode is protected by a parent-set PIN and does not collect any additional information from children. It only displays information that parents have already provided.
  • Children's names and ages are provided solely by their parents or guardians and are used only for playdate coordination purposes.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All child-related data is entered and managed by parents.
  • Parents can review, update, or delete their children's information at any time through the app's settings.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With other families: When you connect with another family, they can see your family profile, children's first names and ages, and contact information you choose to share.
  • With co-parents: If you invite a co-parent, they have access to the same family information as you.
  • With group members: Information you share in groups is visible to other group members.
  • Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (email delivery), and Netlify (web hosting). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure authentication with row-level security on all database tables
  • Regular security reviews and updates

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
